Gout, Low Carbs Diet, Old Uric Acid Crystals

Hi; I am trying a low carb diet and wonder if it can affect gout. I am not really eating more red meat, just chicken and fish but no fruit, bread, pasta, etc. So more veggies. There may be a bit more fat in this diet, but not much, but there is more protein.
The thing is I think I am starting an attack and my Uric levels are low 3.6. I took colchicine and indocin and already feeling better.
So maybe it’s “old crystals” that I have been reading about? How long do they take to dissolve? Is colchicine the drug that eliminates them?

    Thanks!!~

Low Uric acid with 300mg allopurinol. Is it Safe?

So I just had my blood test and now my UA level is 3.6 which according to Lab corp and whatever factors they use is LOW. <3.7.
    I take 300mg of Allopurinol.
Not really worried because it’s so close but I think I was 8.0 before treatment.

    Part 3
Hi; I find that sometimes cracking my toes will stop a gout attack or slow it down. Whenever I feel an attack I take the Colchicine and then try cracking my toes. My theory is that when you crack a joint the synovial fluid is flushed out of the joint, making the crack. When this happens the flushing synovial fluid takes along some of the crystals with it.
One time I had an attack and instead of a blood test, they drained fluid straight from the toe joint for analysis. This also stopped the pain as they drained off the crystals as well.
It doesn’t work with a full-on attack because of swelling. I am wondering if anyone has tried ultra-sound during a full attack followed by a chiropractic crack. Might be worth a try if you had access.

There is a limit on how long my post can be!

Expecting a gout attack after beer

Hi; I’ve got my uric acid under control (4.0 down from 6.2) with allopurinol.
So I am just a normal drinker-3 beers tops. Went out last night and had 3 beers. Should I expect a gout attack? Can I take colchicine to ward it off? How soon after drinking does one get an attack?

    Thanks!!~
